Q: What is one goal you have for yourself in baseball?
A:One goal I have for myself in baseball is to look back and not have any regrets. I want to be able to say I enjoyed every experience I had and that I got as far as my talent will get me.
Q: What do you like to do when you're not playing baseball?
A: When I am not playing baseball I am still very busy. I often find myself completing homework or working out. In my free time I like to spend time with my family.
Q: What's the dumbest thing you've ever heard from spectators in the stands?
A: The dumbest thing I have heard from spectators in the stands is “How many points have we scored” or “Just throw strikes”.
Q: What's the best advice you've ever been given by a coach or mentor?
A: The best advice I have been given by a coach or mentor is “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” which is a bible verse. This reminds me that everything that happens is part of God’s plan. This helps me to stay relaxed and not worry about failures.
Q: What has baseball taught you that you can apply in life outside of athletics?
A: Baseball has taught me a list of things from determination and patience to competitiveness and desire. It helps me strive for things and knocks me down. It makes me have to stay strong mentally, physically and most of all religiously.
